How guides on this directory are written, sourced, and kept accurate — separate from listing content, which businesses write themselves.
Who writes our guides
Written by our own team
Every guide is written by the Gotka Business Directory team, the same team that reviews business listings before they go live — not submitted by a business or an outside contributor.
Not a paid placement
A business can't pay to be featured, mentioned, or ranked favorably in a guide. Guides and paid or free business listings are entirely separate systems in how this site is built.
Sourcing
Linking to primary sources
Where a guide makes a factual claim that isn't simply about how this directory itself works, we aim to link to an authoritative outside source for it rather than stating it unsupported.
Keeping guides current
Revisited, not just published once
A guide's page shows both when it was first published and, once it's been substantively revised, when it was last updated — so it's clear whether what you're reading reflects a recent check or an older one.
Corrections
Tell us if something's wrong
